External monitor ordering/primary monitor

So I have this macbook pro 2017 that I use for work, and everyday I attach my 2 external monitors using apple usb-c to hdmi-usb-usb/c connector (I keep the macbook closed). I set up how I want them to look (which one would be primary monitor basically) but everyday I come to work, I setup the macbook and no matter in what order I connect the monitors, the macbook sets the secondary monitor as the primary one. And it's a pain to figure out how to set the other one as main.

Sure, I can go to settings and select the other one as primary, but having to do that everyday? I just can't understand why the macbook doesn't remember the setup?

I have tried switching the usb/c - hdmi connectors but the same thing happens. Wrong monitor set as main. No matter the order in which you connect them. After the 10th attempt or something, it works.

Anyway, is there a way to make the macbook remember the setup?
