Mac Mini 2012 ( late) fully upgraded Sierra IOS...

Hey Y'all !

My Mac Mini is just barely 4 years old . I have not used it much because I had a laptop that crashed. I am a freelance writer/editor/photographer by night and by day I take care of two beautiful parents with cancer whom would have no one if not for me. I am only 50 so I am really trying to keep this Mac thing going. I need the efficiency and the security. I was stalked and hacked by a classmate in 2013 that almost led to loss of life. I stay aware of security issues as much as possible. When you go cold turkey with no technology for over a year and prepare every day a Craig's List call will ring and find you , you learn to shoot and to physically defend yourself. I removed my own keylogger that year and found all the proof but cops were not savvy then nor were the FBI.

Sorry for being sidetracked. I was having some problems recently with intermittent wi-fi on a system I created through an Ethernet connection in home in a very rural secluded subdivision. I have AttUverse but most still have MaxxSouth and some have Dish. I recently noticed my MAC Utility Search Domain Name was changed to attlocal.com and had a different IP address and then my wifi connection was my setup IP and my connection. So they were swapping back and forth and I was not getting mail, security updates and App updates. I looked up the IP of the server address and it was a proxy government site for Economic Development and Tourism from phone# I called and it said Greg Abbott. ??? It was after hours but no leave a message or extensions and not Governor Greg Abbott. More strange things happened . Eventually, I changed my router or modem from Uverse and then my tech friend helped me set things up and we cleaned everything and he left. The strange service is still there but I think my frequency may be to high and my att guy is out of his league. Or I really did have a problem because we did clean up some strange things before we got security updates from Apple and I am still having trouble. My Mini Mac now will not start any more. I can turn it on but it sets up to a black screen , a white apple and then takes forever to boot up a filled in white line and sits there.

What can I do or is it dead? Is it too costly to fix if the discs are corrupted. I think the HD is corrupted and I know the fan is gone because it gets hot. I looked inside and saw that . The memory discs were lose. I popped them in tighter but it made no difference. This little guy is pretty basic except for the motherboard. So, I don't know what to do.

do I try to fix it, Can I fix it, Or is it time to grieve?
