All the emails I am trying to send are staying ...

All the emails I am trying to send are staying in the out box.  I am using a Macbook pro. version 10.12.6.  macOS Sierra.

How can I get all the mail to get sent?

in the Mail menu, select the Window menu, in there select Activity: is it busy sending the email you want to send?

If not, select ConnectionDoctor (just below Activity) and find out why not.

You can see in the screen shot , wifi is turned on but there is an issue in the network .

Could be this reason also , they get stuck in the outbox .

Note: If you send an email with large attachments, it might be returned by the recipient’s email service because your email exceeds the size limit set by that email service. You can try sending the contents of your message in multiple messages, or using compression software, such as the Compress feature on a Mac, to make your attachments as small as possible.
