How do I remove myself from a Family Sharing gr...

When I go to the App Store on my iPhone, when I go to my purchases, it lists that I'm in a Family Sharing group with two users I do not know, presumably from China. When I try to follow the instructions on removing myself from the Sharing group, it doesn't work.

The Settings page just has an option saying "Set up Family Sharing" and when I click on it it says my account is already being used for shared purchases in the family of somebody named Kang Zhaochi. It tells me to ask him to send me an invitation to join Family Sharing. I don't want Family Sharing at all! How do I get out of this?

And PLEASE don't just give me the link to the "Leave Family Sharing" help page, because I've pored over it and those instructions don't actually help whatsoever. There's no "Family" tab in the "iCloud" settings. There's no way for me to click on the "Family Sharing" tab.

Are you the ORIGINAL owner of the iPhone or did you buy it second-hand?  If this is a used iPhone then it is possible that the previous owner did not sign-out of iCloud and properly erase the iPhone according to:

Since Family Sharing requires a personal Apple ID signed in to iCloud and iTunes, I suspect that your iPhone is still signed-in to the previous owner Apple ID.  If that is the case, there is no way around it without the previous owner's help:

Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

Without giving you the link to the "Leave Family Sharing" help page, that is all I can think of.

The same EXACT thing is happening to me. I even called Apple support to no avail. Where you able to get out of if?
