How do I now update unavailable apps without lo...

Let me explain.... See, there's an app I have that used to be available in App Stores outside Japan, that isn't anymore. Yet, it still receives frequent updates, but since it's not available outside Japan, those updates don't show up under the Updates tab as normal. The workaround was to delete and redownload the app via Purchase Hisrory in iTunes, and then sync to my devices from there. Alternatively, I can always delete and redownload the app directly to my devices of course, but doing it through iTunes always preserved my save data. But now that iTunes no longer has app support, the only way to update it now is to redownload it directly to my devices, deleting my save data in the process. So I have to ask, is there a way I can still update the app without deleting my save data?
