Having recently installed OS 10.12. I keep losing automatic login, no matter how often I  set it up in Login Options.

I have to choose myself as the user & enter my password. Does any one have a fix please?

You haven't enabled FileVault have you? (see Use FileVault to encrypt the startup disk on your Mac - Apple Support).

I have the same problem, on a new iMac updated to macOS 10.12.6. FileVault is turned off. I have toggled login to Automatic and off again a half dozen times. Keychain is fine. Nothing works. Any ideas are appreciated.
