How do I leave my family sharing on my phone to join another family share?

"After you leave a family, you can join or set up a new one. However you can only switch to a different family group once per year."

macOS Sierra: Leave Family Sharing - https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25665 - "You can remove yourself from a family at any time. After you leave a family, you may be able to join or set up another family. However, you may only join two families per year. (Rejoining a family or creating a new one counts against this limit.)"

This is the stupidest rule I ever heard!  I recentlt joined my son's family group because he purchased Apple music family plan.  Now I can purchase or even download apps with my apple id.  It asks for my son's credit card security code which I dont want to ask him.  If i leave his family share I cant return for a year!!!  This is CRAZY!  I guess he will have to cancel his Apple music family plan

the idea of family is one person pays - several persons use.

if you want two payers, family is not for you.
