SD Card Reader not working after installing 10....

SD Card reader will not read SD cards after installing 10.12.6. Tried cards in another computer and it's not the cards. The system isn't recognizing when the cards are inserted. Anyone else have this issue? I've tried resetting NVRAM and also tried cleaning the cards themselves.
