Read Receipts ended?

Up until last night, one friend that I was talking to had their read receipt on. Underneath the message, it always said "Read at 1:35" or something like that. However, since last night, it has been saying delivered. I understand that they may have just turned it off. HOWEVER, the last "Read at" is STILL underneath one of the messages, but the most recent one I sent says delivered, even though this person replied. Is it normal for it to happen this way or is this just a temporary glitch?

Did you ever fix this?! I have the same thing

Having a similar issue. Read receipts are on (even Saturday I went into Settings>Messages>Send Read Receipts for all (instead of just individual contacts), and today I noticed it was turned off again.
