how to activate AirPlay mirroring on the iPad 2?

I can see where to click either Ipad or Apple TV but there is no mirroring button. Any suggestions on how to get it to work...Thanks!

1. Install IOS5 on iPad 2

2. Update apple tv

3. Double click home button , then scroll to iPod music control button . Select airplay option - apple tv - select airplay mirroring.Q

Have you updated the 2nd generation Apple TV?

If so, double click on the ipad2 home menu and scroll

To the right and enable mirror play

I can't find Mirror Play as an option on the Home menu either

There is no enable mirror play option in that menu...all it has is Ipad and Apple TV as options

Apple tv is the mirror

Tab apple tv and everything on your ipad2 goes to the tv

I have my apple tv up to date and still I cannot mirror my screen.

2. Update your Apple tv with latest software.

3. Restart your ipad2. Ie hard restart.

Still no switch for mirroring have apple tv 4.4.1(3151) still not working

I have iPod 1 i don't think it will work only iPod 2

This didn't work for me, I just spent $1000 for this and my iPAd 2 to do a big presentation with Airplay (because "it just works") and it doesn't work!! None of these steps work. Is there no resolution to this problem? I've returned 2 iPads and 2 Apple TV's and still nada, Best Buy says I'm doing it wrong, I've done all these suggestions 5 times.

Presentation is Friday, did Airplay turn into a broken promise? Should I return these and get an Android solution (not trolling, just nervous about Friday and need a new solution because I counted on this).

Yes, mirroring is iPad 2 only.
