I'm planning ahead for my new 2017 21.5 iMac coming in a couple days. What cable should I use to Migrate my 2009 21.5 to  to new 2017 iMac 21.5.

2009 Works great: just full, so I'm updating. 09 4 Sal.

You’re best off migrating from a Time Machine backup or bootable clone. If you need to connect the computers directly, use FireWire/Thunderbolt, Ethernet, or wireless.
