Quit Apple Music

How do I quit, resign from and stop using Apple Music so my iPad will sync my music with my laptop?

You can sync your iPad and iTunes with or without Apple Music subscription.

That's what I did, canceled my subscription.  It worked and now I can sync my iPad with my Laptop.
