icloud storage size mismatch

Hi all,

iCloud says i´m using 2.52 GB in documents, but when i get into "manage" (on my iphone or mac) i´m only using less than 50Mb.

Here´s a couple of screenshots. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

What about your back up

I disabled (and deleted) the backup from my iphone (because it can´t be done since i don´t have enough space available):

If you've only just deleted the back up it may need another document to be Added to kick start the size report change.

Thanks for the help : )

Backup was deleted some weeks ago. Anyway, I just created a Textedit document and stored it in iCloud. Nothing changes.

By the way, i just re activated backup on my iphone. It looks like there are 2GB of incomplete backup that are still on icloud:

The problem is that if i hit "delete backup" (turn off & delete) I end up the same way as before: 2.5GB available

I think you probably realise where the problem is. What happens if you turn what's app back up off and try redoing the back up.

Great thinking, but the problem persists.

I took out whatsapp, the backup was made but I still got 2gb on my documents. I really dont know how to erase something that icloud is not showing.

Any thoughts? Thanks,

I'm not sure then, that doesn't make too much sense to me. I think I might try signing out of iCloud completely on that phone and trying again.

Do you think there is any chance that the problem may come from my macbook or imac? That some large document may be causing this?

The big problem is that there is no way to contact technical support from argentina : (

I´ll try that and let you know

Couldn't rule out anything, but isn't it your phone that's having an issue backing up.

My phone can´t be backed up because I got more than 2GB of docmuents in icloud (that´s the problem to solve).

And I can´t track those 2 gb, as neither my iphone or macbook shows where are those 2gb so i can delete them.

As you can see in my first post, i only have 38Mb of documents shown, but icloud stills says that i have more than 2gb in use.

I understand that's why it wouldn't back up originally, but now you have changed what it's going to back up, that 2 GB shouldn't make any difference now, there should be enough room to back up whether you have 2GB of 'something' up there or not.

I had this same problem.   I called Apple Support via the Apple Support App and they were able to have a supervisor re-set the icloud storage.   Problem solved with their help pretty quickly :-)
