How to Upload docs to websites

Hi - I am trying to upload a .pdf and pages document on my iCloud drive to a website.  When I select browse, iCloud drive does not show up.  I had to move the file to my desktop then upload. I would like to upload direct from iCloud Drive, how do I do this?
