keyboard and trackpad not working on MacBook Air

My macbook's internal keyboard and trackpad aren't being responsive, external one however do. I have tried a SMC reset which got me hopeful because the light on the charger changed as normal, this shows that the keyboard isn't physically disconnected because the keys have been recognised. A verbose boot also works therefore it's a software problem, but I have no idea how to fix the issue.

See if they work in Safe Mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

 

Try creating a new administrator user account and see if they work there: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443

Well, maybe it's that you may have dropped it, or you may have stood, or pushed on the keyboard. I suggest you go get it fixed, or go buy a new computer if that doesn't work
