iOS 11 is draining your iPad battery

I have recently updated my iPad 5 th generation to iOS 11, however, the iPad battery is draining very fast. I left it at full charge in the morning, but when I got home, it drain down to 18%.

After a major upgrade, there is a lot of activity going on in the background (syncing, face and object recognition, Spotlight re-indexing, performing house cleaning tasks, etc). The first few days after an upgrade are not an indication of normal usage. Give it time to settle down. Also update to iOS 11.0.2, if you haven’t already.

You can also try a Restart, just in case your particular issues have a different cause.
