Thankyou for your reply. I tried to turn the Sim off, as per the instruction, but I don't have 'Cellular Data' under 'Settings'.  I wondered if this option was removed when updated to iOS 11.0.01?

A bit more background - my iPad Sim locked for no reason - I had not turned it off, I was reading when this happened. I thought if I turned if off and turned it back on again, that this would correct itself. However, when I turned it back on, I entered the passcode, then to unlock the Sim, entered the four digit code. The first attempt failed, even though I entered the correct code. I then entered the same code again, and this worked, except nothing happened, the iPad didn't respond. And that is where I am now, not sure what to do next. I thought maybe I may need to contact my carrier?

Okay, I misread this, I thought you said iPhone. I don't have a cellular iPad to test this on. I cannot check cellular data to see if there is a change. You may have to wait for someone else to respond, or you can check with your cellular data provider and see what they have to say about the SIM.

You're welcome. The carrier should be able to diagnose the issue with the SIM. They may have to replace it, because I don't think they can reset the SIM PIN.
