Macbook Pro freezes when using hot corners

So my Macbook Pro 15 inch Late 2016 (with the touch bar) freezes often when I use hotcorners. It happens probably every other day, and I have to force restart the laptop - sending it to sleep doesn't work. I'm on the most up to date OS (apparently, as it won't show me any new updates...) - MacOS Sierra 10.12.2. Anyone find any fixes for this?

Thanks for your question. I understand when you try to use Hot Corners, it causes your MacBook Pro to freeze.
I'll do my best to help you with this, since the Hot Corners feature is supposed to help you work more efficiently, not annoy you!  

Since you are already updated to the latest operating system on your Mac, I would suggest that you change all of the Hot Corner settings in your System Preferences to their default settings, then shut down your computer.  Next, Reset the Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac, set your Hot Corner preferences again, and try using the feature again.

I have this exact problem also on a Macbook pro 13 inch late 2016 and have just tried the suggested steps. It happens to me every few days so will see if this has fixed it in time

This has not fixed the problem, it continues to happen every few days
