Macbook Air fan constantly running? How can I s...

My Macbook Air fan is constantly running and extremely loud. It starts up about ten minutes after turning my computer on. I only have Safari and iTunes running and have checked the activity monitor and don't have anything large running.

Is there anyway to turn the fan off or stop it from running so much?

And I assume you've reset the SMC?

(Turn off your computer, leave the power plugged in. Press the Left hand Shift, Control and Option buttons at the same time with the Power button for 1 second and release them. Then power on normally.)

Worked and then not even 2 seconds later came right back on and my sound doesn't work either.
