Re new Series 3 watch withe LTE

If I get the new Series 3 watch with LTE connectivity, can I turn LTE off.

My cell carrier won't be offering the LTE yet so could I still use the watch without having LTE connected.

If your carrier is not yet supporting Apple Watch, then yes - you can use Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) models without using the cellular feature for now.

You can also buy a non-cellular, GPS only Series 3 Apple Watch instead.

If you hope and anticipate that your carrier will support Apple Watch in due course, then I would strongly encourage you to buy the (GPS + Cellular) model, given the relatively modest additional cost.

The net cost of selling a pre-owned (GPS) model and buying a replacement (GPS + Cellular) model would most likely far outweigh the additional cost of buying a (GPS + Cellular) model at the outset.
