The Watch OS 4 Update Bricked my Series 2 Watch

Those who are considering trying to update Series 2 watches to Watch OS 4 should likely WAIT and SEE.

I did not do so and the update to OS 4 bricked my Series 2 watch. I attempted a hard reset to reboot it. Did not work. I took it to the Genius Bar, they were unable to repair it and had to send it back by mail to the mothership to have the OS completely reinstalled.

So - Just be wary that if you update, you may be without your watch for 3 to 5 business days.

Been using Apple products since 2000 and this is the first time something like this has happened.

The Genius Bar offered no explanation or additional information. My guess is that Apple is aware of it and will issue an update to the update soon, hopefully. Until then, I would wait.
