Import fm iPhone to Photos but Photos not showing

Whenever I plug in my iphone 6s into the macbook pro running Sierra OS 10.12

and try to import them into Photos app the latest photos don't show up.

I've tried restarting both devices and the app but it makes no difference.

In the Photos app it only shows photos to import from 2 weeks ago and not

the 50 photos i've taken since then.

I end up having to send 5-8 at a time

via airdrop or email which takes forever...

Need to edit them quick to sell something so your help is much appreciated.
