Newsstand app is stuck. How to reset?

Newsstand is locked out by an overlay screen of National Park magazine that I selected to download. It was an ad to buy the magazine. I wanted to get back to Newsstand to look at other magazines and I can't get the Nat Park overlay ad box to go away? How can I get rid of this overlay page and how can I delete the Nat Park fake magazine?

I am new to Newsstand, so I don't know how to navigate it.

I have newest OS7.0.4 update installed. Please advise. So far Newsstand *****!

Try force closing the app. Double tap the home button. You'll see the preview for newsstand and the app icon on your screen. Flick that preview window up and off the screen then single tap the home button to exit the mode. Try getting into newsstand again and see if the Nat Geo is gone.

Thank You Skydiver119, this definitely worked! My News app was stuck on an insurance ad, but home double tap worked.
