iCloud Photos eating up disk space
Despite having configured the Download directory out of my system drive, iCloud Photos have consumed all available space on it by adding hundreds of huge files (over 67 GB) under the following directory:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Apple Inc\CloudKit\iCloud Photos\MMCS\
See snapshot below:
Apple, disk space is not free, and filling up a system drive brings lots of other performance issues. Did you really need to do this?
(1) Does anyone know what these files are?
(2) Can they be safely removed without affecting the iCloud Photo "sync" process?
