Cannot delete files, files missing

I am having trouble with my airport time capsule. I am using my Airport Time Capsule 802.11ac 3TB to store important files on while I am going through and cleaning out my Mac. It is almost full, with only about 20GB of space left. It slows down a lot if I go under the 20GB’s.

The first problem I have ran into is that I am unable to delete 2GB of old iTunes backups and files from my Time Capsule. I have tried deleting them on more than one occasion. I get this message:

“The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found. (Error code -43)”

or a similar message saying that some of the files are being used.

The next problem I am having is a big one! I had one folder with several subfolders that probably made up for the majority of the space used. The folder is still there, but the sub-folders are not. When I first discovered this there was like only 15 folders showing up, with a 16^th folder that tried to show up. It ultimately disappeared with the rest. I was able to recover one of the folders through an alias, but only one. After that it started saying the aliases were broken. I am hoping the files are still on there and I can recover them. If they were, I would have gained a noticeable amount of space. I tried contact support, but after holding and waiting when the representative finally answered, he got a call back number and shortly after either hung up or we somehow got disconnected, which I thought was the whole purpose if me giving them a call back number…..

Anyway, if anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. I have searched on the internet, but have yet to fix the issues.
