Retina Display MBP

Hi!

I tried using an old Apple Cinema Display as an additional monitor for my Retina Display MBP. It didn't work out for me because the Apple Cinema Display doesn't show the same contrast, brightness and colors than on my MBP.

I spent countless hours calibrating the Apple Cinema Display, but none of the new profiles were good enough.

Important: I do a lot of photo retouching work in Photoshop.

My MBP, iPad and iPhone all look exactly the same. It is really important to me that my MBP's additional screen looks the same as the rest because of my photo retouching. For me, it is a really big deal.

The question is this: I will buy a new monitor. But before I do, I need to know that I won't have the same sort of issues with it; I know the new Retina Display monitors are extremely expensive, and I can't afford spending more countless hours trying to calibrate it to make it look like the rest of my screens.

Do you have any recommendations? I heard LGs are good?

Thank you so much!

Chris.

Any answer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
