Apps and 12.7

Reading the iPhone user guide and in the section on the App Store application it says this:

Hide individual purchases. Using iTunes on a computer, family members can hide any of their purchases so other family members can’t view or download them.

How does this work in 12.7, or am I misunderstanding what they're trying to say?

You do it directly on your device since iTunes 12.7 drop support for the App Store and apps.

Device's App Store app > Updates (bottom right) > Updates (your avatar top right) > Purchased > My Purchases > swipe the app to the left and tap the red Hide option to hide.
