Music disappeared after IOS 11 Update

I noticed today lots of my music has disappeared off my iPhone 6s, it’s only happened over the last few days so I assume since IOS 11 update. I’ve tried the suggestions online from people who have had the issue in the past but to no avail! I’ve probably lost around a years worth of Apple Music downloads :( what can I do to retrieve?
