Outlook 2011 crashes after update to 10.12.4

Outlook 2011 (14.7.2) crashes on my MBA (13 inch mid 2011) after update to 10.12.4. System was stable when OS X was 10.12.3 Outlook boots up correctly then after one or two minutes comes up with "Microsoft Outlook must be closed because and error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost". I have not changed any of Outlooks settings e.g. added or removed a mail account etc.  Other apps e.g. Excel in Office 2011 appear to work correctly. Obviously frustrating to say the least - can I go back to 10.12.3 while Apple / MS sort this out?

Thanks for any help!

PS Why is there no dedicated OS X Sierra forum on this site....

As to your PS, you are in the Mac OS Sierra forum.

Contact Microsoft for advice. The software is theirs....perhaps they have a workaround or just have stopped supporting it.

If you want to retreat, restore your backup (I assume you made one before updating the software).

Not very helpful -  the trigger / cause for crash was Apples upgrade from 10.12.3 to 10.12.4 not a change by MS.  MS and Apple have a technical and commercial cooperation agreement  - it is for both parties to help fix this issue.

My response was directed to Barry Hemphill not Eric Root

To explain further, in very short and simple terms, Microsoft software that purports to run on Apple systems is NOT an Apple responsibility. The  agreement you cite has nothing to do with anything. My suggestion was designed to help you resolve your issue. No software developer has any responsibility to assure third party applications run on new releases. Apple provides third party organizations with information about future releases well before general release.

Good luck.

I'd like to see a copy of that agreement.

JohnBuoy, my answer may not be too useful to you.  I feel sorry.

But what you need to-do is to Always Upgrade your software to the latest version.  This is Progress, which keeps Money Flowing.

While I wait for Microsoft to review crash logs is there a simple and clean way to revert to 11.12.3?

did you ever find a solution for this?  i have have the same issue.
