apple watch series 1pairing

I just changed my iphone to the same model an iphone  5s..had lots of problems with apple id's but finally got phone to work.  Tried to pair my new phone to my watch..It will not pair stating it needs the icloud id and password I originally set up watch to..don't remember that and when I try to find an answer it says my apple Id and icloud id should work as the same but they do not...I am so freaking frustrated.  does anyone know how to help.

Activation Lock prevents unauthorised use of Apple Watch if it is lost or stolen.

 

If the Apple Watch is locked to your own account, but you are having issues with your credentials for your Apple ID account, then it may help to follow the instructions here:
