How to open office apps in Safari

I have Office installed on this iMac, but can't open them. I opened each application once; now can't find them.

THANK YOU!

Windows is so much easier. This is a fairly steep learning turn. Much appreciated.

Safari is a browser, it doesn't open files.

Have you searched for the applications?

What Mac is this, with what operating system?

In order to open an Office file (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...) you need to have either MS Office or another app that can open those files installed on the computer. You may already have one installed however without knowing the version of Mac OS installed or knowing anything about what is installed on the computer helping you is difficult at best.

As mentioned Safari is a web browser and is not designed to open MS Office documents.

Thank you for your response. I have Office 2016 installed. OS is 10.12.6.

Then you are in good shape, you can open the Office file by either double clicking it which will launch the appropriate Office app or you can open the Office app first and use File - Open - then navigate to where the file is located and click it.

If the file is on a website, then you have to download if to your Mac. If the instructions are not clear on the website on how to do that then contact the website administrator for instructions.

THANK YOU!
