No iTunes photo tab

All of my software is up to date, including the new iTunes, iPhoto 11, and Mac OSC 10.8.2.  I cannot find how to sync my iPad with my iPhoto pictures.  There is no "photo" tab.  How can I transfer my photos from iPhoto to my iPad?

Click the "iPad" button in the header at the upper-right:

You'll then see the normal tabs, including the Photos tab. You can also select "Show Sidebar" from the View menu and the interface will look much like it did in iTunes 10.

Thank you, but I have done all that, and still no photo tab shows up anywhere. Are there any other suggestions?

Click on 'photos' across the top bar after clicking on your device (as show in the previous pic).

There is NO 'photos' tab anywhere on the screen.  Are there any other suggestions?

Nada.  NO photos tab anywhere on the screen, not sidebar either.

Just so we're on the same page, lets do this step by step and tell us if doing this still isn't showing you the option to sync photos onto your device.  This is done without the sidebar showing, so click View (top of your screen) and Hide Sidebar if it is.

1.  Lets start with a freshly opened iTunes.  Click iTunes in the upper left, beside the apple, and click Quit iTunes at the bottom of the menu.

2.  Plug in device.

3.  Open itunes.

4.  If it says "Library" in the upper right, click on it first.

5.  Then click on your device (not the eject button pointing up, but on the device's name).

Are you saying you do not see Photos on the top of the bar on the screen that follows, after clicking your device?

YAY, it worked.  I think it was because I hadn't plugged in the device BEFORE opening itunes.  Finicky, but fixed.  Thank you so much!

Heh no problem.  Glad it worked.  I plugged in my device while itunes was opened... this should have worked for you.  Could have just been a hickup of some sort.

I'm having the same problem, except quitting itunes and plugging the ipad in before retarting itunes did no good.

I know this is coming months later, but . . . try expanding your iTunes window on your computer.  I couldn't figure out where my photos tab went, and I followed all the explanations above.  Nothing. It didn't look like there were any more tabs than what I was seeing.  But then I decided to widen the iTunes window, and the tab appeared, along with the tab "On This Phone."

I have the same problem that photos tab doesn't show up anywhere.

I have tried everything that is mentioned in this and other threads. Resizing window, plugging in phone in the right sequence etc etc. I also have some photos on my phone just so if in case tab is enabled only with content.

Please help me here...

All you have to do is go fullscreen to see photos :-D
