Different settings for Family Sharing

Hi

Here is my situation: my son has an ipad mini and has his own appleid set up (as a 13 year old). I have Family Sharing set up so that he has to seek my permission to download apps. He has downloaded many games onto his ipad mini in this way and all is good

Now my son's school need him to have a different new ipad just for use at school. I want to restrict that ipad so that no game apps can be downloaded. So we set up the new ipad with a new second appleid I have created for him so I can restrict downloads on that ipad. But, of course, because both his old and new appleids are part of the same family, he can download all the same games he has on the old ipad mini onto the new ipad without it asking my permission

Can anyone help see a way around this? How can I control the two ipads differently from my same master family organiser appleid account?

Many thanks for ideas?

Take a look at the options offered by enabling Restrictions. Be prepared to set up (and save somewhere safe) a new password. If Restrictions will do what you want will depend on what else your son will need to have access to as part of schoolwork.
