Sync smart mail folders.

I have 4 MacBook Pro's. Two with Sierra, one with Mavericks and one with Yosemite. The older Macs cannot have Sierra installed on them as they are early 2009 models.
When I create a Smart Mail box or folder in an IMAP account that I have added (not my iCloud or Me.com account) on one of the Sierra Macs the mailbox automatically appears on the other Sierra Mac but not on the older Macs. I am signed into iCloud on all Macs. Is there anyway I can get an older Mac running an older OS to automatically populate Macmail in the same way that the Sierra Macs do?
