No iOS 11 for iPad Air?

I have an iPad Air (model number A1474), and I thought it was compatible with iOS 11, because I read the new iOS is compatible with iPad Air. The software update doesn't show up when I check for updates, however

The software update has not been released yet.  So it will not show up on your device at this time.

The iPad Air is compatible, and should receive it once it is actually released.
