Spotlight search only finds apps if I type out ...

Previously, before iOS 11, I would do a quick pull down and begin to type in an app name and the app I was looking for would be at the top of the search results. It made invoking apps a cinch. Now I need to type the full app name before it appears as a possible match. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a way to change this back?

No it's not happening to me with iOS 11.
