Playlist sharing with iOS devices

I have created some play lists on my iMac in iTunes. I would like to be able to access the lists on my iPhone and iPad. 

I am using the latest OS and iTunes software.

Is there an easy way to share play lists across devices?

If you turn on the sync features in the iTunes application, then you will sync playlists!

How do you get to the sync feature to turn it on?
