Wrong Specifications for MacBook Air (13

Screen Shot 2017-08-19 at 8.46.38 PM.png

I just turned on my macbook air today.  The specs page for my mac say that it should have a 128GB PCIe-based SSD.  There are two problems: The computer says it has a hard drive instead of a solid state drive.  What's going on there?  The computer should have 128GB instead of 121 GB.  Can you help me?Screen Shot 2017-08-19 at 8.52.38 PM.png

Hi,

Macintosh HD is just the name of the startup disk. You can name it anything you want; it really is flash storage/SSD. Look in System Report/Information or Disk Utility to see it called by what it is, not a made up name.

The difference between 128 and 121GBs is in small print here: Buy MacBook Air - Apple

  1. 1GB = 1 billion bytes; actual formatted capacity less.

So there is really nothing "wrong."
