New phone, old problem. Playlists gone, songs n...

Bought new 7plus to replace old 6plus. Updated iTunes on comp and backed up old phone then used restore for new phone. Once again all my hard work and bandwidth downloading songs was thrown in the trash by iTunes. Why is it Apple cannot seem to migrate playlists, and why cant the songs be installed from my laptop to my phone from the backup? To call this frustrating would be an understatement. iTunes has become so non user friendly that I should be paid to use it at this point. I'm sure there is some convoluted hack or workaround, but why should this even be a consideration for something that should be so refined by now that this would never happen? Stop trying to cram every silly idea some adolescent employee comes up with into the obese pile of garbage that iTunes has become and fix the basics. It is inexcusable how complex iTunes has become. I'm about to cut my losses and switch to another app because the cost and lower blood pressure would be preferable to itunes taking my time and bandwidth for granted.

So, is there an easy way to get my playlists and bandwidth back? Will Apple refund me for my wasted bandwidth and time?
