Deauthorizing my old iMac
Hello All,
I have a new iMac. I had backed up my old iMac via Time Machine, and set up my new iMac. NO problems. But, when given the option to keep both sign-ins on my new iMac, I chose both. So now I can have access to the old desktop and my new one on my new iMac. Kind of fun.
But, I want to deauthorize my old iMac and give it to a friend.
If I follow the instructions will I be just deauthorizing my use of the old iMac computer, or will I no longer be able to have access to its on my new iMac.
Thanks in advance for your expertise,
Frankie Grimes
You are only de-authorizing your AppleID from the old computer. If you follow the instructions in What to do before you sell or give away your Mac - Apple Support you will be just fine.
Thanks rkaufman87, Level 9. This Level 1 Mac guy appreciates your help.
