Is it possible to restore the unwatched episode...

iTunes TV libraries historically showed unwatched episodes using a small accessory icon, a small blue circle. The blue circle contained a number that indicated how many new and/or otherwise unwatched episodes there are for a particular program. This changed with iTunes Ver. 12.7.0.166. The blue circle icon disappeared. While it is still possible to open up the file for each program one by one and go down a list of episodes to see if there are any unwatched programs, this is cumbersome and takes 10-20 times as long depending how big the library is. Also, the new format for such lists do not highlight unwatched episodes, so they are easily missed. Is it possible to restore this very useful feature using the current version (or restore the prior version). Or, can Apple be convinced to restore this feature?
