Will the Apple Watch series 3 work on AT

I am currently on the AT&T $45 monthly prepaid phone plan, and since the Apple Watch series 3 will be available in cellular, I was wondering if the Apple Watch series 3 will work with the prepaid phone plan. If anyone has any insight on this, I would really appreciate your help!
