GPS App to tag photos

I have MBPro (El Capitan), iPad or iPhone 4S and would like to GPS tag photos taken on Nikon D5200 DSLR?

All Apple products have latest IOS updates as at today. 

Any suggestions please?

Here's one I just found. It's an iOS app. Install on your phone. Synchronise your phone and the camera's clock. At the end of the shoot export the GPX file to your Mac and then use that to tag the photos for you either with their own desktop app, Photos, or Lightroom etc.

Basically it's simple. If the camera isn't tagging them then you need to do it after importing them to your Mac.

You can assign locations in Photos, iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom or any of a dozen other apps.

Footnote: the GPS units hammer the battery. Voice of experience...

Thanks for your advice, but I am hoping to use one of the cheaper Apps available using my iPhone and then synching it on my Mac;  however I thought the latest IOS was not compatible.  (Geotag Photos Pro;  have just researched further and maybe GPX Photo Tagger or Photo Geo Tag may do the trick - there are no reviews in the App Store.  Anyone have comments please?)

Thanks to you also - I have Photoshop Elements 14 - seems I can add locations directly here in the Organiser "Places" view - not sure if I can coordinate it with an App though.

Thanks Terence, that sounds  just the shot!  (now all I have to do is wait for my camera to come back from the repairers!!  )
