I want to cancel my apple account

My account was hacked into and I want to cancel my account.

You can't cancel or delete an account, all you can do is remove any personal info from it (e.g. payment details : Change or remove your Apple ID payment information - Apple Support) and stop using it - anything downloaded by the account is permanently tied to it, so only that account can authorise its purchases on a new computer, potentially redownload its purchases for free, and download updates to its apps
