restore reminders

I am in the Apple ecosystem. I have 2 mac minis, one is late 2014 2.6 Ghz intel core i5,8gb memory,1 TB storage, macOS 10.12.6 Reminders Version 4.0 (441.11)

I have been having problems for a year. Reminders quits. I have always clicked the report and probably sent in over 20 reports in the last 30 days. Reminders continued to work fine until today. I tried to restore with time machine, but it seems that I cannot restore from time machine. Reminders does work, but once tab has disappeared and of course it is the most important one. Looking for help. My iphone 5S and iPad air is behaves exactly the same as one would expect in the Apple Eco system
