macOS Sierra asks for internet passwords every day

Hi,

Since I upgraded from OS X El Capitan to macOS Sierra, I am asked once or twice a day to enter the passwords for all of my internet accounts.  This occurs even when Mail is not open.  Previously all of these passwords were stored in my keychain, and I would be prompted to unlock the keychain.  With macOS Sierra, a message appears for each of my accounts asking me to reenter my password.  When I click, "continue" on the notice, the System Preferences opens to the Accounts panel and requests my password.  After it verifies the password, the notice does not appear again for up to 8 hours, then reappears.

Does anyone know why macOS Sierra keeps asking for my internet account passwords up to 3 times per day?

Paul
