Can I sync specific folders of different comput...

Hello,

I have a question. Let say I have two laptops and I have a bunch of pictures and backups of old computers and I want to put all that data in my icloud account with 2TB, which I believe is now $9.99/month. Can I upload FROM my current external hard drives with old PC Backups, my current work files in my laptop and that of my wife and, separately, a folder with all of our pictures also stored in portable hard drives? I just don't want the situation where iCloud is going to try to sync all its content into my laptop and that of my wife, but rather I want iCloud to hold all the data I have in multiple computers and peripherals and just continually sync a work folder (an specific folder) in my laptop and another similar folder in my wife's. By the way, one laptop is a MacBook Pro and the other a HP laptop.

I look forward to your feedback!

Thank you,

Jorge (eurojourney)

If I understand your situation, I very seriously doubt you can do that.  iCloud has always been a way to sync data across your devices and is not meant to be used simply as offline storage.  However, having said that, I am not familiar with how Apple may have changed the way iCloud works with the recent upgrades.
