Ransomware help.apple@gmx.com

I lived in Jakarta Indonesia, which recently many Mac users attacked by help.apple@gmx.com that locked Apple ID.

I read that this ransomware is asking USD50 to be able to unlock the Apple ID or Firmware lock for MacBook. I contacted Apple to solve my locked Macbook only, because I was able to secure and resolve the hacked Apple ID on my iPhone and iPad by syncing to iTunes. From Apple chat support and call support, they advised me to visit the Authorized Service Support in Jakarta, that is iBox. But apparently iBox charged me Rp 300,000,- equal to USD23 to unlock the locked firmware.

My point is: "What is the point to visit an authorized support if they also charged me some money? Isn't it a 'ransomware in disguise' as well?"

How Apple could see this?
