Sound with HDMI

I have my laptop (MacBook Air) hooked up to my TV with an HDMI cable....How come some sounds (Facebook videos/Twitter videos/Vines etc. ) will come through my TV, but some come through my laptop (MLB.TV game)? I've gone to my sound settings and adjusted the Output to the HDMI. I don't understand why I can't get the baseball game audio to come through the TV?
