How do I get my iCloud bookmarks (iPad) to matc...

What the heck is going on here?  I'm syncing bookmarks using iCloud, but the bookmarks on my iPad are different than the bookmarks on my Mac.  They're at least 6 months outdated.  What's going on here and how do I fix it?

The bookmarks in Safari on my Mac are correct.

I want the Safari bookmarks on my iPhone and iPad to match.  I don't care if I have to wipe out the bookmarks on my iPhone and iPad in the process.  In fact, that's probably preferable.

My iPad is the new one, running iOS 5.1.  My Mac is running the latest version of Lion.

Did you ever get a solution to this problem?  I have exactly the same issue

I just did a clean install on my MacBook Pro (macOS Sierra), and my safari "favorite" bookmarks are missing.  They are still on my iPhone (iOS 10) but I cannot get them to sync...any ideas?
